There's only two places in Yakima that are named after the Irish (that we can think of right off the top), but if we renamed a few places in town, we'd surely have a whole lot more!

When I was growing up it seemed like everyone wore green on St. Patrick's Day whether they had any Irish heritage in them or not. Recently, though, I've had people tell me, "I didn't know you were Irish," when I'm not, but still wear green out of tradition. Am I alone on this?
