The Yakima Humane Society Wants You to Adopt Today!

Have you ever adopted a pet before? At the very least, starting off with being a foster parent to a tiny kitten litter or a bunch of puppies before they are big enough to be adopted out is an incredible experience. It's tough to say goodbye and there are always what's called a foster fail, meaning you just could not part with the animals you were caring for.

No shame in your caring game but I will tell you that the Yakima Humane Society desperately needs our help!

Thankfully they are a no-kill shelter, meaning they will not be taking out any of the animals in their care but they also have hit capacity and can't bring in new animals so if you have even slightly been thinking about adopting. Now is the time!

Special Adoption Fees

Monday, November 29th through Wednesday, December 3rd, 2021 you will receive discounted fees for your adoptions.

Adult Dogs over 6 months = $50
Puppies = $200
Adult Cats = $25
Kittens = $50

You might be curious about pricing but know this, the Yakima Humane Society is a non-profit that not only needs to pay its staff but also make sure that all the animals are fed, have bedding, are taken on walks, and their areas clean so they stay fresh and happy.

Animals aren't cheap and require attention, depending on the type of animal so it's a big decision but one that pays you back in so many ways! I absolutely love my Gary bear. He was adopted from the Yakima Humane Society a few years back, half chihuahua, and half terrier, all lovebug! He is the sweetest, best boy with loads of energy and kisses to go around. Super smart too!

You won't regret your decision and just know, if adopting isn't something you are interested in at the moment, making a pet food donation or monetary donation will help so incredibly much this holiday season.
