The Washington State Department of Transportation has updated information about the re-opening of some of the state's major mountain passes.

After days of closure, two of the 'big four' will open this evening with the other two re-opening, hopefully, in the coming days.

When Is Snoqualmie Pass Re-Opening?

The Washington State Department of Transportation website reports that Snoqualmie Pass has re-opened as of 5 PM today. This includes the stretch of I-90 that has been closed from Ellensburg to North Bend. Lanes at the summit will be narrow and speed limits will be reduced. As the delivery of cargo has been shut down without the ability to cross the mountain passes, there will likely be heavy truck traffic. If one does not need to be traveling, it would be a good idea to stay off the roads, they say.

When Is Blewett Pass Re-Opening?

The Washington State Department of Transportation website reports that Blewett Pass re-opens at 5 PM today.  Expect passing lanes, vehicle turnouts, and chain-up areas will likely be impassable. As with Snoqualmie Pass, the delivery of cargo has been shut down without the ability to cross the mountain passes, there will likely be heavy truck traffic. If one does not need to be traveling, it would be a good idea to stay off the road.

When is White Pass Re-Opening?

The WSDOT says that White Pass is still going to be closed until late Monday afternoon. Get real-time updates by clicking the button below, as conditions can change rapidly.

When is Stevens Pass Re-Opening?

Well, it looks like this pass is not going to be back in business until sometime Wednesday, January 12th.
