The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued a Special Weather Briefing for Central and Eastern Washington continuing through the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
In Yakima, wind gusts are expected to reach 45 mph, which is comparable to similar storms that have knocked out power to thousands of people. The wind chill factor will send the "feels like" temperature into the single digits with a possible inch of snow in the valley.

Heavier snowfall is expected in the Cascade Range.
