Less than 24 hours after arriving at Millenium Plaza in downtown Yakima, the city's community Christmas tree was erected and subsequently knocked down by the ferocious winds that the valley endured Tuesday night (11/26) and Wednesday morning.

According to the Downtown Association of Yakima's Facebook page, the tree toppled at approximately 8:30 this morning (11/27) and suffered damage to the trunk. It is scheduled to be reinstalled on Monday, December 2.
