Resolution for 2020: a serious attempt at more exercise. So what's it going to be?  Walking, jogging, weights, cross training? Have you thought about yoga? There is more to that question than meets the eye because it consists of yoga AND thinking, and it turns out one might help the other!

UPI reports on research from Wayne State University that found a link between yoga’s movements, meditation and breathing practices and an increase in the size of key brain areas involved with thinking clearly, decision-making, memory and regulating emotions.

This is one of the most interesting aspects: Scientists say the benefits are similar to those you’d get from doing aerobic exercise. But yoga isn't aerobic, so it isn't clear why yoga offers those same benefits without hours on the track or on trails.

The study's findings point to even more study to figure out just why yoga is so beneficial.
