Ask a Psychic: Let’s Dig in and Talk About the Taboo Stuff!

The definition of the word taboo:

"A social or religious custom prohibiting or forbidding discussion of a particular practice or forbidding association with a particular person, place, or thing."

Urban Dictionary uses it in a sentence like this:

"When Kira tried making the conversation more interesting by mentioning some taboo subjects, silence fell and the others quickly changed the subject to real estate."

Example’s of modern-day taboos: cannibalism, incest, pedophilia, necrophilia. The list spans from religion to eating cats and dogs, and the entire thing makes the majority of us squirm. So of course, this is the message I get from Melissa in regards to this week's session: 

"I like that we're discussing things that people are usually scared to talk about. Maybe the title can be, LET'S DIG in and talk about the taboo stuff."
