Sweet Secrets: The Seattle Boozy Dessert Lounge Disguised As a Treat Shop

The next time you're in Seattle, you might want to put this fun boozy dessert lounge on your list.

Owner CaraMia has created a place where you can stop in for some molten lava cakes, milkshakes, cookies, crème brulee, ice cream sundaes, and here's a secret hidden in plain sight (and taste), boozy drinks!

She started off her business selling her molten lava cakes at farmers markets in Seattle, starting with the Ballard neighborhood.

With a shop name like Hot Cakes, I was expecting to see some flapjacks on the menu, ha! Now that I've seen what they've got, it's obvious from the website and Instagram name, getyourhotcakes, it's all a big pun,, and I'm loving it!

Seattle has some really unique places to enjoy a little booze with your sweets and treats, like R & M Dessert Bar in the Capitol Hill neighborhood and others listed here on Visit Seattle.

What stands out to me about Hot Cakes is their Espresso Martini. (Secret #1)

There are three Hot Cakes locations on the westside of the state, Capitol Hill, Ballard, and SoDo. I wish they would expand to my small town over here in Central Washington!

You don't have to make reservations; you can just walk in and place your order. Dairy free, gluten free, and vegan food options are available here, too (Secret # 3).

There's plenty of room inside the restaurant to sit down and enjoy your sandwiches, mac and cheese, desserts and bevvies, too.
