Growing up, one of the best toys I ever got for Christmas was LEGOs! I had so many adventures, some with heroes I made up, others re-enacting story lines from other media. My dad can vouch that I actually built a decent replica of the NCC-1701 USS Enterprise from Star Trek. Heck, even now as an adult, I still love LEGO and enjoy the Traveller's Tales game series that deals with the miniature building blocks in a digital age.

Well, now we can help share the joy and building imaginations with BRICKstravaganza! It's back and it's happening at the Yakima Central Library (102 N. Third St. in Yakima)! This free event is for LEGO lovers of all ages and is happening on Saturday, Dec. 28. The brick building fun goes from 2-5 p.m. with LEGO-themed games, crafts, activities plus a movie starting at 3 p.m. For more info, check out the Facebook Event page, or YVL.org and don't miss the chance to enjoy awesome LEGO activities with Bricks4Kidz & the Yakima Valley Library!
