The Central Washington State Fair, events such as the 4th of July fireworks & festivities, and a return of a drive-in food festival, all have an official go-ahead to help this community to get back to normal.
There is a homeschool prom coming up on Saturday, April 23. The theme is "A Starry Night" and the event includes a live DJ, desserts, and whimsical decorations to make your homeschool student's prom dreams come true.
If you have never been to the Yakima Taco Fest before, here's what basically happens: You buy a ticket, they give you a wristband and some food truck and drink ticket script, and then you walk around until you find a taco truck you like and stand in line (could be for hours, just saying) to buy samples of a delicious variety of tacos. There will be and cornhole boards, lively Mexican bands, and lots of dancing, so bring your boogie shoes!
Well, now that 2020 has gone and we're full-swing into 2021, people who may have been expecting things to magically go back to 'normal', whatever that is, are somewhat disappointed. It's going to take more than the calendar flip to get things back on track.
