First off, let me say THANK YOU! to everyone who called to win seats to 107.3 KFFM's table and my winners -- Sara, Elizabeth and Amanda -- who brought their plus ones to a packed night of food, fun, dancing and some big fundraising for the Yakima Humane Society! March is right around the corner, so if you love a night out and an opportunity to give back, the Fur Ball will be here shortly!

I've got a soft spot for the YHS. One of my first dates with my now-husband was volunteering to walk dogs :) After marriage we adopted a beautiful puppy we named Gary! :) If you're considering adoption, I highly recommend it!

Now on to this incredible night of CRAB! Christmas Eve my family enjoys crab, but I've never been to a crab feed, so to share this experience with my mom and our winners, who'd never done this either, was a super treat! The menu featured rolls, bomb coleslaw, baked potato including all the fancy sides and of course the main star of the night crab! We played games and tried SO hard to finish all of the crab and then came the cake! :)

Claws for Paws 2019

That lemon cake, O M G! I don't know who made it but it had a layer of brown sugar and I don't even know what but it was worth all the donations I had left to give and what a fun way to raise money. The desserts alone brought in at least $6,000! :) and the grand total coming in from the Yakima Humane Society Facebook Page

We are humbled and grateful. The 2019 CLAWS FOR PAWS crab feed was an unprecedented success! This
annual event has never been bigger in income or attendance! 470 people in the room and $40,000 raised for lifesaving care and compassion for the pets we serve. THIS is a reason to be proud, Yakima! Tag your friends or add your own photos in the comments!

If you weren’t there and would like to help us make it $45,000, click the donate button! Together, we can do great things.

What an incredible night and the fantastic music provided by DJ Rob and his crew! Did we dance?

So much fun :)

This night was all about raising funds for the wonderful services the Yakima Humane Society provides. Running a nonprofit no-kill shelter with so many animals constantly coming in and out, including upkeep, volunteer coordination and outreach -- oh boy. It takes a village, so to see so many giving people in one huge room was pretty incredible. Cannot wait until next time and hope to see you there!
