Black Lights & Glowing Foam Dance Floor Dye Hard 5k 2021 Success

Holy crap!

I know there is smoke in the air and we have Covid looming over the entire world but if you haven't cut loose in some sort of way recently, the time is now!

This past Saturday was the 3rd Annual Dye Hard 5K hosted at the SOZO Sports Complex and like always it was magical! Start thinking about next year because this is an event that the entire family can get into, and the photos, INCREDIBLE!

The smoke cleared as early evening set in and a super fun addition to this year's event was foam that was poured all over the dance floor. Shout-out to Sheldon, owner of Bear Event Services. The sound was perfect and the lighting was fantastic. As we waited for the sun to set everyone was tossing powder on each other and taking photos under the blacklight.

The bubble vats pumping the foam out for everyone reminded me of a scene from The Joker and the end result was stunning. The photos don't do the evening justice and I heard one Mom say, "I'm SO happy we did this. My 17-year-old acts like she's too cool but once the foam started pouring out, she squealed like a little girl and hasn't stopped since!"

The music was playing, the glow from the backlights made for incredible photos and so many people had their glow sticks in the air as they ran through the bubbles. It was one of the coolest experiences ever and I HIGHLY recommend attending one in the future if you get the chance!

Stacker used data from the 2020 County Health Rankings to rank every state's average life expectancy from lowest to highest. The 2020 County Health Rankings values were calculated using mortality counts from the 2016-2018 National Center for Health Statistics. The U.S. Census 2019 American Community Survey and America's Health Rankings Senior Report 2019 data were also used to provide demographics on the senior population of each state and the state's rank on senior health care, respectively.

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
