Could This Be the Best Town to Live in Washington? Maybe That’s Why So Many People Are Moving Here

It's always sunny in Yakima.

Seattle gets all the rain.

But what does the fastest growing city in Washington State get?

I'm nosey, so I set out to find out.

Home Snacks gives a list of cities that I would expect to be on the "fastest growing" list, towns like, oh, wait, I didn't expect any of these to be on the list!

Yelm? Who is moving to Yelm?

Gig Harbor? Okay, I can see that; it's a lovely city filled with caviar dreams and champagne wishes, with a price tag to match.

Snoqualmie? It snows too much for me there. I'm guessing the people moving there must love to get snowed out during the winter. Say hi to Frosty for me!

THE NUMBER ONE STUNNER: WASHINGTON'S BEST KEPT SECRET CITY

Are you ready to find out which city was chosen as the place everyone seems to be headed for the most?

RIDGEFIELD.

I can't even pick out Ridgefield on a map, let alone understand why so many people are moving there, but here are several appealing reasons that I've discovered.

The land where Ridgefield sits is native Chinook tribal land. Some of the folks on the Lewis & Clark expedition set up camp there during the 1800s and they never went away.

Ridgeview was incorporated as a city in 1909, but the town's original name was Union Ridge, which is where this elementary school got its name.
