Job Listing for the Week of October 19th, 2020 – Who’s Hiring
We have reached the time of year where everyone would love a bit of extra cash flow due to the impending holidays so seasonal work is always offered. If you're hoping for something more permanent sometimes that part-time gig or seasonal position eventually turns into a full-time position so don't let that stop you from dropping off your resume.
Remember it's super important to stand out so keep your resume down to one page with the work that best fits the job you are going for. If you're in need of tips and guidance you can reach out to Worksource Yakima. You might not be able to schedule an in-person visit however over the phone or online chatting could work just as well. Or ask me, @sarahjthedj I might be able to help
I hear the libraries are beginning to open back up so if you are in need of a computer and printer, you can book an hour for free and the cost of printing your resume is only .10 per side. You could write up all your info in an e-mail and then once you have access to the computer copy and paste your info onto a word document, adjust any last-minute things and then print. We're working smarter not harder here ;)
There is no shame in testing out all resources so I am going, to begin with, the businesses around the Yakima Valley that offer to find fill-in, seasonal, part-time, and full-time positions. When you are searching for work and need an income sometimes this is a perfect way to get your foot in the door and try new things.
