It's always sad to say goodbye to a favorite restaurant, if you loved Santiago's, it is no more, however it looks like there is a new restaurant taking up residence in that location on Yakima Ave and it's called Sumo Hibachi & Sushi. The sign says coming soon, but how soon? Not quite sure.

The buzz from the Facebook group WTH Just Happened in Yakima, yes it's a real group, is super positive.

Sumo Hibachi & Sushi has two other locations in WA, if you're up for a drive while we wait for this beauty to open you can head to Moses Lake or Wenatchee to feast on the menu. If you do report back on what we must try.

Word on the street is this place will be worth the wait, however long that might be, I'll update when I know more.

Apryl says, "So hands down some of the best food ever. I go to their other locations in Moses Lake and Wenatchee, I’m excited."

The menu features bento boxes, sushi, steak yakisoba, and more. Yum!

A nice addition to the already delicious options with current and new restaurants that have been popping up lately in the Yakima Valley. Our Valley might be known for hops, wine, and apples but our growing food selection is another thing to be proud of Yakamaniacs.
