She is running for a purpose. Rozy Fish of Muckleshoot and Cowlitz tribes. In the state of Washington. Is running for the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. Native American women are missing at a high rate here in the United States. Rozy gained attention racing with a red facepalm on her face. And with the letters MMIW on her leg. Her inspiration came from Jordan Marie Daniel. Who ran the Boston Marathon. She also ran with the red facepalm on her face.

She came to race in the Virginia Mason Memorial Yakima Downtown Mile. That took place on June 8th. Before the race started. I had the honor of presenting Rozy with the 'Inspire Award'. In recognition of her running for the Missing and Murdered Indigenous women. She told me she felt empowered when she runs. That she also enjoys running.

We both have similar issues with Native American women going missing within our communities. Currently a group of women from the Yakama Nation. Are working with other tribes. And Washinton State officials and representatives. To get a database made for the missing Native American women.
