A trip down memory lane brought up many stores that no longer exist in Yakima, Washington. What stores do you miss and remember fondly?

Toys R Us may have been gone but never forgotten. When ours Toys R Us first came to the Yakima Valley in the mid-late 90's it was a dream come true for many of us. Especially those of us who grew up watching cartoons on KSTW Channel 11 based out of the Seattle/Tacoma area that would often not only run commercials for Toys R Us but also feature those shopping spree contests...

It won't look like the Toys 'R' Us we all remember.

Well, it's official now. Toys 'R' Us let its employees know it's going to sell or close ALL of its stores, because it just can't compete with sites like Amazon anymore. This includes Babies R Us. If you've got a gift card, make sure you use it NOW. Those gift cards will be worthless once the stores close.

I recently read a story from the UK about how their Toys R Us opened a little earlier than normal to accommodate children with autism with dim lights, no music, no in-store announcements - just shopping. As much as I love this idea, I love that this store was willing to do this in the first place.

What a fantastic day it was for the United States Marine Corps, Toys R Us and all the kiddos who stopped by to check out the military vehicles and equipment. People came in droves to donate new, unwrapped toys as Toys For Tots kicked off this year's campaign.

The Marines are landing! That is, they're launching their annual Toys for Tots campaign this Saturday (Nov. 5) at the Union Gap Toys R Us, 1401 E. Washington Ave.

In an attempt to be a forethought on the shopping lists of parents this holiday season, Toys R Us has announced plans to match the prices of their competition. The company’s new “price-match guarantee” will be extended to all products from Toys R Us and Babies R Us retail outlets.
