Whitney Elementary Fundraiser at Panda Express for New Playground Equipment

Whether you have children at Whitney Elementary, maybe you used to go there yourself or you just want to help out for a great cause, the Whitney Elementary School Boosters are having a fundraiser at the Panda Express on 65th and Nob Hill (in front of WalMart) on Thursday, October 9 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with 20% of proceeds going to help build a new playground for Whitney Elementary School.

For 20% of the proceeds to go to the school, you must have this flier handy when you place your order. Print yours off just to be certain, but I'm sure there'll be plenty available there as well.

I'm not sure how long the playground equipment is there, currently, but when you see layers of deteriorated paint on the side of one of their metal structures that our young children play on, you know it has had to have been there for at least a few decades.

Help yourself and help the community build a new playground for the school. Even if you or your family doesn't go to school there, you can still play on it after hours. I know I will be.
