Yakima held their Yakima Pride parade which ended up with a fun street fair of sorts on 6th and Naches with craft vendors, food, activities, and live entertainment. It was a great time! Here's what I saw.
For many teens, the prom is the epitome of their high school experience. But for students who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer, it can be a challenge to feel like they belong. Yakima Pride decided to start a new annual tradition called "The Rainbow Prom," where attending LGBTQ+ youth are welcome and safe to be fully themselves.
If you haven't seen the billboards yet, know there are THREE Pride billboards glowing about town, the first time in history to happen. You can check them out during the entire month of June, all showing off a very positive message.
