As big as we think this World is, we are constantly reminded again and again just how much our actions affect others. You could be inspiring people right now and not even know because you're focused, like a laser beam, on the task at hand! Angie DeVora, the owner of Meraki Creations, is one of those inspirers. A force to be reckoned with and no matter how many roadblocks have been put in her way, she continues to fight for what is right and create beauty amongst the chaos. This is why she is this week's Women Crush Wednesday!

When Angie first opened Meraki Creations, a cute little sit-down spot to grab breakfast and lunch, I was SO excited to test out her menu. She featured fresh and delicious items with serving sizes that did not mess around. The hubs and I were pumped to test out more when within months of her opening the pandemic hit and she was forced to close her doors. Then she found out because of how new her business was, she wasn't eligible for a business loan. While she maneuvered the next year and a half she was working out of a local breweries kitchen, serving up incredible nachos and a charcuterie box filled with all types of cheese, fruits meats, and more. Planning, waiting for when the time was right.

She inspired passing cars with messages on her readerboards and even faced down a disturbed gentleman one morning who decided rocks through her windows was the way to get his point across. There have been a lot of stops and starts but if you follow her on social media you know, something has been brewing for quite some time.

Located at 1510 Summitview Ave, Yakima, WA 98902 Wednesday - Sunday 9 am - 3 pm Friday and Saturday 9 pm - 2 am (follow on social media for updates)

She's updated the parking lot to feature a garden and outdoor seating as well as commissioning local artists to spiff the space up to the next level and now after waiting for many, many, many months. I am SO pleased to announce she will be opening this Friday, July 30th, 2021 at 9 am!
