I had to find some proper music to play whilst I sip my tea and contemplate on making a trip over the pond. Why would I take such an adventure on? well if you must know, Downtown Abby appears to have rooms available on Airbnb. Apparently there is a contest of sorts. Oh bully, what fun.

I have yet to rent from them but this does seem like the perfect time to say please shut up and take my money. Or if I was attempting to be just a tad bit fancier.

Be quiet and take my money.

The castle has been around since 1679 and owned by the same family. Dang, anybody single around those parts? Not for me, I am asking for a friend.

There are around 300 rooms and most people will know it because of the incredibly popular tv show Downton Abby that has just been made into a movie for it's adoring fans

In order to be eligible for the following event you need to have an Airbnb account as well as positive reviews and also be a fan of Downton Abby. Well, how about one for three? You still have time. Set your alarm for October 1st and fingers crossed the time you took off on November 26th pays off because this sounds like so much fun

It all starts at 4 p.m. on November 26th, according to the listing, when two lucky guests “will enjoy an exclusive evening drinking cocktails in the Saloon followed by a traditional dinner with the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon in the State Dining Room, being waited on by Highclere Castle’s own butler.” No word on whether that butler is actually Mr. Carson.

Then, after dinner, “coffee will be served in the Library before you retire to one of the Gallery bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom and views over 1,000 acres of rolling parkland.”

Check-out is at 11 a.m. the following morning, after you “enjoy a delicious breakfast prior to a private tour of Highclere Castle’s extensive grounds.” Before you depart to your castle-less life, Lord and Lady Carnarvon will bequeath you with “a special gift…so you can enjoy a little bit of Highclere Castle at home.”

Ooooh what do think the gift will be?
