Practical Magic Is Getting a Prequel and I Am so Excited!

This movie is one of my favorites of all time! Blood around the moon, sisters bonding, and handsome love interests mixed in with magic, food, and drinks! It's over 20 years old and is still fantastic to me. One of my favorite roles for both Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock.

This film inspired me to want to grow out my hair super long, own a giant house near the ocean and spike a drink with belladonna if a fool wanted to test me. Just kidding on that last part :)

I just came across the announcement that Practical Magic is coming to HBO Max and this time it will be a prequel!

"Set in 1960s New York City, the series follows three troubled siblings—Franny, Jet, and Vincent Owens—who wrestle with “abnormalities” that have kept them isolated. But the tumultuous times unearth the extraordinary discovery that they are, in fact, descendants of a bloodline of witches. The two sisters will become the revered, and sometimes feared, aunts in 'Practical Magic,' while their brother will leave an unexpected legacy."

 

I should have known this movie was based on a book so I will be adding that to my list along with A Discovery of Witches. Would anyone be interested in starting a book club? :)
