The struggle to lose weight, feed the dog, pay the bills and stay sane can be draining. Especially when you are attempting to do it with no plan. I lived my life fully that way.

I figured one of these days it would just click, so I waited while eating all my favorite foods and binge watching shows. No exercise dehydrated like a mother with all kinds of moody achiness with no end in sight.

Working in radio I tend to share a lot of my moods, my love for food, my struggles with losing weight and one day I got a call from a listener who showed me the way out. Are you ready for this? Calories. Ahhh! If you burn more calories than you consume you will lose weight. If you eat more calories than your body can burn you will gain weight. It's a dance. So how do you find your balance?

If you can track your food, you'll find out what your daily calorie intake is by being honest and putting it all in there. If that seems like too much work this is the start.

Stay consistent and pick one day a week to weigh yourself. Once in the morning and once in the evening. Do this every week. If you are losing weight each week, you are consuming fewer calories than your body burns. Good times if you want to lose weight. If you are gaining each week then you are eating more than you burn.

I picked Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, weighing in at 234 pounds

This morning Tuesday, May 21, 2019, I weighed in at 179.6

It took me five months to get into the 170s and the lowest since I've gotten to was 169 which I kind of liked but then I started eating a bit more so right now I am attempting to get back to 170 without hitting the gym hard. I am curious if I can do it and I would LOVE for you to join me.

During the process, I created a private group called Get It Right! Get It Tight! If you are searching for support, guidance, motivation or a shoulder to cry on we are here. I have certified trainer and nutritionist who is on there to answer questions and right now she is offering a FREE healthy meal and workout plan if you can finish out challenge within the month of May. Are you ready?
