Day one of the rest of your life.

Are you one of those people who just LOVES to eat? Me too! I honestly thought I would always be a big girl until four years ago when I finally got it together and lost around 60 pounds. It took five slow and steady months of tracking what I was eating AND working out to get there but I did it! And then I slowly started to pack it back on.

It seems like the Central Washington State Fair is going to be my constant reminder of go-time. It was four years ago that I began the Monday after the fair and now that I have gained about 45 pounds of it back, I have begun the mindfulness again. I want to live a long healthy life AND I want to be able to fit into my dang clothes. Even my items that were big and baggy are snug so this is no joke. I haven't hit 40 yet but I know losing weight will only get harder so there's no better time than right now to Get It Right! Get It Tight!

The last time I went through a weight loss I was filming live weigh-ins each week and this time I have no desire to do so but I DO have a desire to share what my plan is. What I'll be eating and doing for exercise in hopes that you get motivated too and share with me!

I had created a group on Facebook that's been a touch inactive so if you'd like to join you can find it via @sarahjthedj in my groups. It's a free spot to grab your friends and share what works for you and what doesn't. No fad diets, not even Keto. It's about counting calories and making sure you're getting up and moving around. Not every day will be perfect and even when you hit your goal you still are you...all the baggage and issues are still there, you just weigh less. So this is your gentle reminder to take care of your mind, body, and soul. It takes willpower, desire, and drive.

The Plan

  • 1,200 ish calories a day for me. Tracking and Planning ahead work wonders. It's ok if you're a touch over. It's getting into the habit of being aware of what you're eating
  • Yoga (I just started a 30-day challenge included with Prime)
  • 30 minutes of some type of exercise (jump rope, elliptical, walking the dog)
  • Drinking at least 8 8 ounces of water (I've found tea really helps get me there)
